Night 1: Getting to Ha Giang by Sleeper Bus
DAY 1: Tha Village – Ha Thanh Village – Scenic Boat Trip – Swim at Du Gia Waterfall
Morning – Start your day with a delicious local breakfast, savoring Pho or duck vermicelli. Meet your guide and begin your journey in Tha Village and Ha Thanh Village, where you’ll experience the local culture and explore traditional stilt houses amidst lush rice terraces.
Serene Boat Ride – Embark on a picturesque boat trip along the Mien River. Float through stunning mountain scenery and capture breathtaking views as you discover this hidden treasure of Ha Giang.
Invigorating Waterfall Swim – Enjoy a refreshing swim at Du Gia Waterfall. This secluded spot is perfect for cooling off and enjoying the tranquility of nature.
Du Gia Cheers Village – Arrive at Cheers Du Gia Homestay, a cozy retreat in a cultural village. Relax and take in the serene atmosphere of the countryside.

DAY 2: Du Gia – Tham Ma Slope – Meo King’s Palace – Dong Van Ancient Town
Morning – Begin with a nourishing breakfast at your Du Gia homestay. Breathe in the crisp morning air as you prepare for a day filled with adventure.
Ride to Lung Ho Viewpoint – Get on a scenic motorbike journey through verdant valleys toward Lung Ho. The ascent to the viewpoint rewards you with breathtaking panoramas of Ha Giang’s rugged terrain.
Conquer Tham Ma Slope – Experience the thrill of descending the famous Tham Ma Slope, navigating sharp turns and steep drops. The winding mountain roads offer stunning vistas at every turn.
Explore King Meo’s Palace – Visit the historic Meo King’s Palace. This architectural masterpiece provides a window into the luxurious past of the Hmong royal family. Wander through the grand halls and admire the intricate carvings that showcase the region’s rich cultural heritage.

DAY 3: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Bao Lac – Pac Bo
DAY 4: Phat Tich Truc Lam Pagoda – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Nguom Ngao Cave
Morning – Start your day with a wholesome breakfast at Me Farmstay. Take in the calm surroundings before embarking on another exciting day of discovery.
Adventure to Ban Gioc Waterfall – Begin your journey with a hike up 300 steps to Phat Tich Truc Lam Pagoda. The climb rewards you with sweeping views of the stunning landscape below. Explore the pagoda’s rich history and peaceful atmosphere before descending to the majestic Ban Gioc Waterfall. Experience the power of nature up close with a sampan boat ride that offers a front-row view of the cascading waters.
Discover Nguom Ngao Cave – After marveling at Ban Gioc, venture to the nearby Nguom Ngao Cave. Explore the intricate cave system, where you’ll be surrounded by magnificent stalactites and stalagmites, creating a magical underground experience.
Arrival Homestay near Ban Gioc Waterfall in the late afternoon. Check-in and relax in this cozy retreat. End your day with a delicious homemade dinner, sharing stories with fellow travelers and enjoying the tranquil evening before resting for the night.
DAY 5: Ban Gioc – Angel Eye Mountain – Cao Bang City – Hanoi
Morning – Start your day with breakfast at your homestay. Savor the peaceful morning atmosphere as you prepare for the final stretch of your adventure.
Visit Angel Eye Mountain – Head to Tra Linh to explore the impressive Angel Eye Mountain. This unique natural landmark, with its circular summit opening, provides stunning views of the surrounding karst landscape. Depending on the season, you can enjoy kayaking (July-Sep) or trekking to fully immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery and capture unforgettable photos.
Scenic Ride to Cao Bang City – Continue your journey towards Cao Bang City, winding through lush valleys and dramatic limestone formations. Arrive in Cao Bang by noon and enjoy a leisurely lunch at a local restaurant before beginning your trip back to Hanoi.
Return to Hanoi – After lunch, start your return journey to Hanoi. Relax and reminisce about your adventure as you travel through the picturesque countryside. Expect to arrive in Hanoi around 7:30 PM, marking the conclusion of your journey.

Step 3: We will send you a pre-payment link through email where you can make the deposit ($50) for the Trip.
Step 4: The rest of the payment ($159) can be paid at Vietnam Cheers Hostel. It should be paid 100% 48 hours before trip departure.
Passport, swimwear, sunscreen, sunglasses, warm clothes for the cooler months (Nov thru March), mosquito repellent, Some Cash, Phone with internet Sim-card, camera, a healthy appetite and a good attitude!
Travel Insurance is NOT included. We strongly recommend that passengers have their own travel insurance against illness, injury, loss/damage to personal belongings and not being able to travel on confirmed departure dates.
Fees will be charged in event of booking cancellations:
- Before 48 hours: 25% of booking cost
- 24hours-48hours: 50% of booking cost
- within 24hours or no shows: 100% of booking cost
On the motorbike tour itself, please just bring what you need for 5 days only,
Due to limited vehicle space and the nature of accommodation, we ask that you limit yourself to a maximum of 10 kgs in a backpack or overnight bag.
We’re happy to offer you free luggage storage at Vietnam Cheers Hostel in Hanoi.
Our tours include easy-riders for a reason – largely because the roads on the Ha Giang Loop can be dangerous, often with many obstacles designed only for the most experienced drivers! It’s for this reason that we offer this tour with an easy-rider.
However, if you’re experienced on a motorbike and have an international driver’s license, we may allow you to drive for a period of time on easier roads. Please ask your easy-rider and they’ll allow at their discretion. We are not liable for any injuries so please ride at your own risk.
From Hanoi: The trip departs from our Vietnam Cheers Hostel at 5 Au Trieu Street, Hanoi Old Quarter at 7:30 pm.
- if you stay elsewhere in Hanoi, we will pick you up at 7:00 PM
From Sapa to Ha Giang: if you are in Sapa, please contact us for help. Our bus will pick you up from there.
From Ha Giang: We pick you up at any hostel in Ha Giang at 8:00 AM.
You will be eating local Vietnamese food prepared in various restaurants and accommodation along the way. If you are vegetarian, vegan or have any other dietary restrictions or allergies please inform us at the time of booking. We will be sure to accommodate you!
Our trips are fairly active, so a reasonable level of fitness is needed. If you have any doubts about your suitability for our trips, please check with our Travel Desk before making a booking. NOTE: Activities vary in duration and grade depending on the availability.
All online bookings need to be confirmed and paid for in full 24 hours in advance. If not, Ha Giang Motorbike Tour will regard it as nonattendance. You will not be able to join the tour and will NOT be refunded.
