DAY 1: CHEERS HOSTEL – CASTAWAYS ISLAND
7:00 Am Meet your crew bright and early to make your way to the island by bus and boat. Upon arrival on Castaways Island you will check into your beachside bungalow and tuck into a delicious lunch ready for the epic afternoon ahead. Board a traditional junk boat and cruise through Lan Ha Bay, past local fisherman and their floating villages, and (if you dare) jump from the top deck into the refreshing water for a swim before cruising back with your crew for a night of partying on your very own private island. After a tasty buffet dinner get ready to rock the night away with our house DJ spinning the tunes late into the night! Don’t forget to make a late night trip down to the beach to see the magical view of the bay’s bioluminescent plankton!

DAY 2: EXPLORE THE ISLAND (B,L,D)
Get a good base going with a tasty breakfast and prepare for a morning discovering the rich history of Ha Long bay from a kayak, lead by knowledgeable guides. Explore the limestone caves and jade green lagoons and spend the day relaxing on the beach, playing volleyball and kicking back with a few beers! For an unforgettable experience let your inner adrenalin junkie out with high speed tubing in the bay, just remember to hold on tight! In the afternoon see how high you can climb by rock climbing surrounded by the beauty of cliff karsts right over the beach, lead by our professional guides. This day is all about our awesome activities and getting ready to party the night away under the stars!

DAY 3: CASTAWAYS ISLAND TO HANOI ( B,L)
Enjoy a leisurely last morning with your beachside breakfast, go for a swim, or just nurse your hangover chilling in the sun before one last lunch before the journey back to Hanoi. If this is just the beginning of you epic adventure throughout Vietnam, let our travel team help you to plan the rest of your trip with your new Castaways crew. If it’s the end of your travels, what better way to go out than with one of our legendary Downtown parties! Travel Insurance is NOT included. We strongly recommend that passengers have their own travel insurance against illness, injury, loss/damage to personal belongings and not being able to travel on confirmed departure dates.
Fees will be charged in event of booking cancellations:
- Before 48 hours: 25% of booking cost
- 24hours-48hours: 50% of booking cost
- within 24hours or no shows: 100% of booking cost
- Due to limited vehicle space and the nature of island accommodation, we ask that you limit yourself to a maximum of 15 kgs in a backpack or overnight bag.

No. There is a fully licensed and stocked bar on the island. While we want everyone to have a blast, your safety is our main concern. This ensures responsible drinking practices with measured amounts of real, quality alcohol. Please read the waiver you will sign upon departure carefully and understand that we reserve the right to confiscate any contraband found and remove any individual from the island without refund that is putting others or themselves at risk.
From Hanoi: The trip departs from our Vietnam Cheers Hostel at 28 Nguyen Sieu Street, Hanoi Oldquarter at 7:00 AM
- if you stay in another place, we will pick you up at 6:30 AM
- If you’re staying at Vietnam Cheers Hostels please be downstairs ready at 7:00Am.
You will be eating a Vietnamese buffet prepared on the island by our local cooks. If you are vegetarian, have food allergies or do not eat seafood we can cater to you. If you have very specific dietary needs, please discuss this at the time of booking.
Our trips are active, so a reasonable level of fitness is needed. If you have any doubts about your suitability for our trips, please check with our Travel Desk before making a booking. NOTE: Activities vary in duration and grade depending on the availability.
